Epping Boys' High School's Motto "Strive to Achieve" is one which has been taken seriously by staff and students alike since the School's foundation in 1957. By hard work, dedication and the setting of high standards, the School has built up an enviable reputation and very sound traditions. Legitimate pride in past achievements in turn helps to generate further achievement and the pursuit of excellence.

This is true of both academic and sporting activities. High scholastic results are matched by champion sporting prowess in a wide range of sports, particularly rugby union, tennis, athletics and soccer. The performing arts are of special significance at Epping Boys' High School.  Musical and dramatic involvement is encouraged and developed, to the benefit of all.

We expect a pupil of Epping Boys' High School to work hard to achieve his personal best, to care about all other people, to encourage and support his fellow students, to protect and enhance the reputation of his School, to be involved in school activities and to be ready to assist his School when invited to do so.
