Rugby Success in 2009

At the zone finals, held on Wednesday 5 August 2009, Epping BHS received the award for best rugby school.

The highlight was the First Grade team defeating Homebush 24-5 in the final. This made it four in a row for the Epping First Grade team and coach Bruce Jacob is excited by the challenge of attempting number five in 2010.

Kamie Khurshed's Under 15A team and Mr Wright's U13A team also won, making it a memorable day. The proposed U15 Rugby Tour to New Zealand in 2010 and Open Grade Rugby Tour to Canada/USA in 2012 should help ensure Epping BHS remains a rugby stronghold with 8 teams and nearly 200 players.

Old Boys, parents and past teachers are most welcome to attend the Annual Rugby Dinner Presentation at The Epping Club at 7.00 pm on Tuesday 25 August. Cost is $50, payable to the school by 18 August. Stuart Dickinson is our guest speaker.

Great Day for Epping Boys' High School Rugby!

Zone finals days at TG Millner on 30 July was a remarkable day for EBHS rugby. Of the seven finals, EBHS won in six and won the six!

Winners were U13A, U13B, U15A, U15B, Seconds and Firsts.

A big crowd saw a very impressive performance by Epping in the First Grade winning 27-7 against old rivals, Homebush.  This made it three in a row for Epping (only the second time this has been achieved by Epping) in a display rated by coach Bruce Jacob as the most clinical and impressive display in his six years of coaching First Grade.
