Epping Boys' High School offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities to enhance our students' intellectual, social and physical development.  A comprehensive list of activities is found in the Co Curricular Activities Book.

Music

  • Over the years the school's music achievements display an array of wins and awards - the most notable being selected as the Command Performers (Wind Ensemble) in the Pacific Basin Music Festival in Hawaii.
  • Since then we have staged Jesus Christ Superstar, the well loved rock opera.
  • All students at Epping Boys' High School are encouraged to participate in our large co-curricular program.  Belonging to a music ensemble fosters friendships, encourages team playing and further develops self discipline.

Drama

Drama at Epping Boys' High is expanding. It provides students with the opportunity to express their creativity and individuality through movement, acting and dance. It is a unique way of promoting physical, emotional and moral development.

We have a strong tradition of excellence in performance at Regional and State Festival level.

The Junior Drama Ensemble, Years 7 and 8, caters for students interested in developing performance skills and self-confidence in the junior years, prior to curriculum electives.  Selection is via audition.

Sport

In addition to a strong PDHPE program, Epping Boys' High has a very strong tradition of outstanding sporting achievement. We have been champion zone school on five occasions in the last 10 years.

We are involved in over 16 NSW CHS knock-out competitions. In 2009, Epping Boys High School will field 60 teams in the NW zone competitions. In 2008 Epping won the ERREA Soccer Cup - the champion school in hte state for soccer.

Some of the long-term benefits enjoyed by boys participating in zone sport include:

  • The sense of belonging;
  • The opportunity to share in achievement;
  • The importance of co-operative team effort;
  • The leadership opportunities;
  • The importance of fair play;
  • The challenge of extending oneself;
  • Acceptance of defeat graciously.

Boys are encouraged to become involved in a wide variety of other clubs, activities and cultural pursuits. Those include:
