Science Excursions
In order to enhance student learning in the classroom, a number of excursions are organised throughout the year for a variety of the courses on offer.

Year 7

In 2005, Year 7 participated in an excursion to Taronga Zoo to support their learning in the ecology-based topic, Looking after Living Things.  A fun and informative day was had by all.

Year 9

Year 9 was fortunate to be able to participate in a 'hands-on' experience at Macquarie University's ICT Centre.  the day was spent experimenting and learning how to program LEGO robots to carry out a variety of functions.  This enhanced the Robotics Topic they wer studying in the classroom.

Excursion

Year 11

Biology students were able to practice their skills and enhance their learning while studying the first of their Preliminary Course topics, A Local Ecosystem, by participating in an excursion to the Field of Mars Study Centre.  Here, they were given the opportunity to practically study abundance and distribution in a variety of habitats.
