History at Epping Boys' High School

History has been a fundamental subject for both junior and senior curricula since the school started in 1957.  Epping has had a long tradition of success in both the School Certificate and Higher School Certificates.  Our HSC student results have been consistently above the state average in all our subjects.

Currently, the faculty offers the core History section of the Civics course for Years 7 through to 10, as well as an Elective History curriculum for Years 9 and 10.  In the senior school we offer both Preliminary and HSC Ancient History, Modern History, as well as Society and Culture.  In Year 12 we also offer History Extension.  Options chosen for study reflect the interests and abilities of the students.

The faculty has many years experience in teaching the range of subjects that we offer.  Faculty members have brought a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise to enhance learning experience and outcomes for our students.  All staff are experienced HSC markers.  The faculty has developed a wide range of resources, including an up-to-date computer laboratory.
