Computing Faculty Successes

The 2007 cohort performed very well in both IPT and SDD.  Results showed a significant improvement on those from 2006.  Once again we were well above state average.

Congratulation Leigh Pigram!!

Leigh's teach Vernon Shear was exceptionally pleased with Leigh's result . Leigh came first Information Technology with a mark of 95 indicating that thorough exam preparation by practising past HSC papers, really pays off.

IPT

IPT Students at Epping continue to perform well above the state average as indicated in the graph.  Several students narrowly missed out on a Band 6 result.

SDD

As a group this year's Software Design and Development class was one of the best for a few years. It was Jenny Pledger's first time teaching the course and see did a fantastic job.

IT

In 2007 we did not have an IT class which was disappointing after  Leigh Pigram topped the state in 2005. 

Information and Software Technology

In 2007 year 10 students performed well however there was a big group of students who did not perform to our expectations.  In 2008 we hope to redress this by restructuring the course to cater better for lower ability students

Information and Communication Technology

In 2007 year 10 students did not participate in the Computing Skills Test. With a mean above 84% of our students were 4% above the state average with 79% of students being judged as highly competent.  Those students electing to do the IST course had a distinct advantage over those that did not do that elective
